AWOM is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation founded by Sarah Akiba, a wardrobe stylist and fashion designer from Miami, Fl who lost her father to lung cancer in 2013. She started this foundation in order to help fund other non profits and unite all people who have lost an "Angel." AWOM, and acronym for Angel Watching Over Me, derived from a social media trend of #angelwatchingoverme where other victims began telling their stories about their "angels."

AWOM Girls Club is a new subgroup under our foundation that started with a dinner in New York City with 26 of its most influential Women talking about the importance of female leadership. Also, starting a lunch program at Olsen Middle School grade 6-8 of young girls and visiting them weekly to speak on how to be a female leader, have high self esteem, and lady like etiquette, and many other subjects that out future leaders need.
